Okay, so I’ve been trying to get back in shape, and I figured it was time to step up my weight game. I’ve been using some lighter dumbbells for a while, but I felt like I needed a bit more of a challenge. So, I decided to grab a 20-pound dumbbell. Let me tell you, it’s definitely a step up!

My Workout
I started my usual routine, you know, warming up with some stretches and jumping jacks. Just getting the blood flowing. Then, I picked up the 20-pounder.
- Bicep curls: First up, the classic. I managed to do 3 sets of 10 reps. My arms were definitely feeling it by the last set. I used to do these with my 10-pound dumbbells, No sweat there, but now, whew!
- Shoulder press: These were tough! I pushed through 3 sets of 8 reps. It’s crazy how much heavier 20 pounds feels compared to what I was using before.
- Goblet squats:Holding the dumbbell close to my chest,I did some squats. 3 sets of 12 reps.I am trying to get better at these, and the extra weight made my legs burn like crazy.
- Bent-over rows:Using the dumbbell with one hand, I did rows to work my back. 3 sets of 10 reps on each side. I focused on keeping my back *’s tricky!
- Triceps extensions: Holding the dumbbell behind my head.I did some triceps extensions.I squeezed out 3 sets of 10 reps.
After the workout, I was sweating buckets!I did some cool-down * muscles were definitely feeling it, but in a good * felt good to push myself a bit harder.
It’s just one dumbbell, but it’s making a difference. I’m going to stick with it and see how much stronger I can *’s a bit rough now, but I think I’ll get used to it.
