Okay, so I’ve been trying to get back in shape lately, and I figured using a stationary bike would be a good way to start. I mean, it’s low-impact, right? No stress on the joints. Anyway, I decided to set a goal for myself: 10 miles on the stationary bike.
First things first, I dusted off that old stationary bike in the corner of my basement. It had been a while! Then I hopped on and just started pedaling. No real plan at first, just wanted to get a feel for it.

Day 1
I managed to do about 5 miles on my first try. Not bad, but I was definitely feeling it. My legs were like jelly afterward! I realized I needed to pace myself and not go too hard right out of the gate.

Day 2-5
Tried to be a bit more strategic. I started with 15-20 minutes warm up to ease into it. Then maintained the pace for 20 minutes. Kept the resistance low and just focused on getting my heart rate up. I did around 5 miles each day and took a rest on day 4.

Day 6
Felt pretty good. Upped the resistance a little bit and aimed for 7 miles. It was tough, but I pushed through. Drank lots of water and listened to some upbeat music to keep me going.

Day 7
Decided to give it my all. I set the resistance to a challenging level and just went for it. I was pedaling like crazy, sweat dripping everywhere. I kept checking the monitor, watching the miles slowly tick by.

Success!
Finally, after what felt like forever, I hit the 10-mile mark! It took me around 50 minutes, and honestly, I was exhausted. But man, did it feel good to reach my goal. It was a solid workout, and I felt a real sense of accomplishment.
So, is 10 miles on a stationary bike good? For me, right now, it definitely is. It’s a challenge, but it’s achievable. I think I’ll keep at it and see if I can improve my time. Maybe even work my way up to longer distances. We’ll see!
