Okay, so, today I hit the gym and decided to work with the 25lb hex dumbbells. Nothing fancy, just wanted to get a decent workout in. I started with some warm-up stretches, you know, just to get the blood flowing. Then I grabbed those dumbbells.
First up, I did some bicep curls. I aimed for about 3 sets of 10 reps. It felt pretty good, not too heavy, not too light. Just the right amount of resistance to feel like I was actually doing something. I could feel my biceps working, which is always a good sign.
After the curls, I moved on to some shoulder presses. This one was a bit tougher. I managed to push through 3 sets, but I dropped down to 8 reps for each set. My shoulders were definitely feeling it by the end. It’s a bit of a struggle, but I guess that’s how you know it’s working, right?
- Bicep curls: 3 sets of 10 reps
- Shoulder presses: 3 sets of 8 reps
Next, I tried some bent-over rows to work on my back. I did 3 sets of 10 reps again. These felt pretty solid. I focused on keeping my back straight and really squeezing my shoulder blades together at the top of each rep. It’s all about that mind-muscle connection, I guess.
Wrap Up
Finished up the workout with some cool-down stretches. All in all, it was a pretty productive session. The 25lb hex dumbbells were perfect for what I wanted to achieve today. Didn’t go too crazy, just focused on good form and getting a good pump. I think I’ll stick with this weight for a while and see how it goes. Maybe I’ll try to up the reps a bit next time. We’ll see. Anyway, that’s it for today’s workout. Felt good to move some weight around and get a sweat going.
