Okay, so I’ve been seeing this question pop up a lot: “What yoga mat does Adriene use?” You know, Adriene Mishler, from Yoga With Adriene on YouTube? I got curious too, so I decided to do some digging and, well, try to figure it out myself.

The Investigation Begins
First, I scrolled through a bunch of her older videos. I figured maybe she’d mentioned it at some point, or maybe the mat itself would be super obvious. No luck. They all looked like pretty standard yoga mats, nothing that screamed “THIS IS THE ONE!”
Next, I hit up Google. I typed in all sorts of searches: “Adriene Mishler yoga mat,” “Yoga With Adriene mat brand,” you name it. I found a few forum discussions and blog posts, but nothing definitive. Some people guessed, others speculated, but no concrete answers.
Trying Some Mats Out
Since I couldn’t find a straight answer, I decided to take a different approach. I thought, “Okay, if I can’t find the mat, maybe I can find a mat that feels like what she might use.”
- First, I tried a basic, inexpensive mat from a local store. It was okay, but a little too thin. I felt like Adriene’s mats always looked a bit more…cushioned.
- Then, I ordered a slightly thicker mat online, one that was advertised as being good for all types of yoga. This one was better, but still not quite right. It felt a little too slippery.
- Finally, I splurged on a mat that had really good reviews, one that people raved about for its grip and cushioning. It was made by Manduka.
My Conclusion (Sort Of)
While I can’t say for sure what mat Adriene actually uses, I feel like the Manduka mat is a pretty good fit. It’s got that nice balance of cushioning and grip, and it seems durable enough to hold up to daily practice, something I imagine Adriene would need. I could be wrong, but I’d tried my best and finally got a great one.
So, that’s my journey! It wasn’t a straightforward answer, but I learned a lot along the way, and now I have a yoga mat that I really love. Maybe the real answer is out there somewhere, but for now, I’m happy with my choice.
