Just Use a Barbell and a Pull-up Bar
You don’t need a whole lot of fancy stuff, you know? Just that barbell, maybe one of them pull-up bars you can stick in your doorway, and some of them little hand weights, dumbbells they call ’em. That’s all you really need to get a good workout.
You can do those deadlifts with the Olympic barbell, like I said. And squats, too. Then you can use that pull-up bar to work your back and arms. And them dumbbells, you can use ’em for all sorts of things. Lifting ’em up over your head, out to the side, curling ’em up to your shoulders. Plenty to do with just those few things. No need for a whole gym full of machines, I tell ya.
Deadlifts Burn the Most Calories
If you’re really looking to burn off some of that extra food you ate, them deadlifts are the way to go. They use so many muscles all at once, your body’s gotta work real hard. That means you’re burning a lot of energy, a lot of calories. More than you would with those exercises where you’re just using one part of your body at a time. So if you want to lose some weight lifting, make those Olympic barbells do their job.
You don’t need to use five barbells, you can only use one, or two. Don’t do things you can’t do. You can get hurt.
