Hey, listen up! Let’s talk about this 12g barbell thing, whatever it is. I ain’t got much schooling, but I know a thing or two about stuff. So, they call it a 12g barbell, right? Now, I heard tell you can buy these things online. eBay, they say. Full of new stuff, all them big brands. Makes ya wonder where it all comes from. Back in my day, ya made things with your own two hands. But now? Click a button, and it shows up at your door.
- They say this 12g barbell is made of steel. Steel’s strong, I know that. Seen plenty of it used on the farm. Hold up a barn, it can.
- Then there’s this talk about “internally threaded.” Fancy words, if you ask me. Means the screw part is on the inside, I guess. Like a bolt, maybe? Always had trouble with those fiddly things.
- And “curved.” Ain’t straight, then. Why make it curved? Beats me. Maybe for somethin’ specific. Like those piercings folks get.
Speaking of piercings, I heard somethin’ about a “Prince Albert” piercing. Lord have mercy! Don’t even wanna think about it. But they say this 12g barbell is the right size for that kinda thing. 19mm long, they say. Who measures these things so precise? Back in my day, ya just eyeballed it.
Now, they got somethin’ called Temu, too. Never heard of it before. But they sell weightliftin’ stuff there, apparently. And this 12g barbell, it’s part of that, I reckon. All sorts of brands, they say. Makes your head spin, all these choices.
I seen folks liftin’ weights before. Big fellas, muscles bulgin’. Puttin’ these barbells up and down. Good for ya, they say. Keeps ya strong. But I tell ya, workin’ the fields all day, that’ll make ya strong too. No need for fancy barbells.
Then there’s these sportin’ goods stores. Sellin’ all sorts of stuff. Barbells, dumbbells, you name it. “Premium quality” they say. Fancy words again. Means it’s good, I guess. But good for what? Just liftin’ up and down?
This eBay place, they say most of their stuff is brand new. All them big brands. Hard to believe, sometimes. Used to be, ya bought somethin’, it lasted a lifetime. Now, it’s all about new, new, new. Makes ya wonder what happens to all the old stuff.
So, this 12g barbell. Seems like a popular thing. Folks buyin’ it online, usin’ it for piercings, liftin’ weights. All sorts of things. Me, I’ll stick to my gardenin’. That’s exercise enough for me. But you young folks, you do what you want. Just be careful with them barbells, ya hear? Don’t wanna hurt yourself.
And remember, don’t go spendin’ all your money on these things. Save a little for a rainy day. That’s what my mama always told me. And she was a smart woman, she was. Knew a thing or two about life.
