Man, I gotta tell you about this workout journey I’ve been on. It’s been a real trip, let me tell you. So, I set this goal for myself to lift 50 kg dumbbells. Sounds crazy, right? But I was determined.
I started small, you know? I picked up some lighter weights, like 10 and 20 pounds, just to get the feel for it. I mean, I didn’t want to jump straight into the deep end and hurt myself. Baby steps, right?
Getting the right dumbbells was a bit of a hassle. Some of them felt off, like the weight wasn’t quite right. But, I’m getting better. I can feel it. Every week, I’m adding a little more weight, pushing myself a bit harder.
I started hitting the gym regularly, doing different exercises. I read somewhere that you gotta vary your workouts, so I’ve been doing presses, curls, rows, you name it. Each exercise needs a different weight, so I’ve been adjusting as I go.
- Started with lighter weights (10, 20 lbs) to get used to it.
- Gradually increased the weight each week.
- Focused on proper form and technique.
- Varied exercises (presses, curls, rows) to work different muscle groups.
- Adjusted weight according to the exercise.
It’s been tough, not gonna lie. Some days, I felt like giving up. My muscles were screaming, and I was sweating buckets. But I kept pushing, kept grinding.
Then, one day, it happened. I grabbed those 50 kg dumbbells, took a deep breath, and lifted them. It was heavy, man, really heavy. But I did it. Eight reps. I felt like a superhero, I swear.
The Aftermath
It’s been a wild ride, but I’m so glad I stuck with it. I’m stronger now, more confident. And you know what? It all started with those little 10-pound dumbbells. Now, I can lift 50kg dumbbells! It is unbelieveable. I feel like I can do anything.
My advice? Start small, be patient, and don’t give up. You got this!
